2025 Belgian Dynasty Day Dinner

The Board of BCNC invites you to the Belgian Dynasty Day Dinner on 

November 15 @ 5:30 pm at Il Fornaio-Burlingame.

Belgium Dynasty Day — King's Feast! Join us as we celebrate the rich culture, traditions, and spirit of the Kingdom of Belgium! It's an evening of joy, friendship, and gastronomic delights.

Since our Bay Area no longer boasts a Belgian restaurant, this year we'll gather at Il Fornaio in Burlingame — a beloved Italian gem that always stays true to its roots and offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

We can't wait to share this special night with our Belgian community, friends, and newcomers alike. Come raise a glass with us to Belgium and to good company!

The menu, from $65 to $75 based on your entrée selection, will consist of: 

Appetizer: INSALATA CESARINA - Romaine lettuce, Grana Padano & croutons with house made Caesar dressing 

Entrée: Select from the following options:

    -OPTION 1- BRANZINO ALLA LIVORNESE - Grilled Mediterranean seabass fillet with light tomato, caper, olive & herb sauce; served with seasonal vegetables and roasted Yukon Gold potatoes ($65)

    -OPTION 2- RIGATONI ALLA NORCINA CON POLLO - Pasta tubes, chicken breast, porcini & champignon mushrooms, truffle oil & grana Padano-cream sauce ($65)

    -OPTION 3- FILETTO AL VINO ROSSO - Grilled beef tenderloin with a red wine reduction sauce; served with seasonal vegetables and roasted Yukon Gold potatoes ($75)

    -OPTION 4- FUSILLONI AL POMODORO - Large corkscrew pasta with roasted tomato sauce and basil (Gluten free pasta available upon request). ($65)

Dessert: TIRAMISÙ - Treviso-style tiramisu with ladyfingers soaked in rum & espresso; layered with mascarpone & topped with a dusting of cocoa powder.

Beverages: Guests are invited to bring a bottle of wine to share with their table. All remaining bottles, including opened ones, will be auctioned off together at the end of the event. Proceeds will help offset the corkage fee for the party. 

All other beverages will be purchased at a no-host bar, including different Il Fornaio house wines.

The costs mentioned include the 20% gratuity and the sales tax.

A little history: The Il Fornaio brand was established in 1972 as a baking school in Barlassina, Lombardia, Italy. It opened a retail bakery in Milan in 1975, and was licensed in 1981 to Williams-Sonoma, Inc. as a retail bakery concept. Williams-Sonoma opened four locations in California before selling the business to private investors in 1983. Initially unsuccessful, the chain was re-sold in 1986 to Larry Mindel. The first restaurant location and headquarters are in Corte Madera, California. This private company consists of 19 restaurants throughout California and Nevada.
